Terms & Conditions

Effective 22 September 2026

These terms apply when you book a seat on the Commute1 shuttle. Booking a seat means you accept them.

Who we are

Commute1 (“we”, “us”) is a scheduled shuttle service operated by [Registered legal name — to be confirmed by Commute1], with its registered office at [Registered address — to be confirmed by Commute1].

Booking a seat

  • Bookings are made over WhatsApp. The booking is between you and Commute1, and is confirmed only when payment succeeds and you receive a QR ticket in the chat.
  • Selecting seats holds them for 5 minutes while you pay. Unpaid holds lapse and the seats return to the pool.
  • You may book up to 6 seats in a single booking.
  • Bookings open 3 days in advance and close 60 minutes before departure.
  • The fare shown in the chat before you pay is the full amount payable for the seats, pick-up and drop-off you selected. We do not add charges afterwards.

Your ticket

Your ticket is the QR code sent to your WhatsApp after payment. Show it to the driver when boarding. A ticket is valid only for the date, departure, seats and stops it was issued for, and is not transferable to another departure.

Travelling with us

  • Please be at your pick-up point at least five minutes before the scheduled departure. The shuttle cannot wait for late passengers.
  • Seats are assigned. Please sit in the seat shown on your ticket so that other passengers find theirs.
  • Each passenger may bring one cabin-sized bag and one personal item. Tell us in advance if you need to carry more.
  • Smoking, alcohol and any illegal substance are not permitted on board. We may refuse boarding, without a refund, to anyone who is unsafe to other passengers or to the driver.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult, and occupy a booked seat of their own.

Timings and delays

Departure times are scheduled times, not guarantees of arrival. Traffic, weather, road closures, police restrictions and vehicle faults can delay a trip, and we are not liable for onward costs — missed meetings, connecting travel or otherwise — caused by a delay outside our control. We will always tell you on WhatsApp as soon as we know a departure is materially delayed.

If we cancel a departure, you are refunded in full. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Cancellations

You can cancel from the WhatsApp chat. The refund depends on how long before departure you cancel and is set out in full in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Waitlist

When a departure is full you may join a waitlist of up to 10 people. If a seat frees up we offer it to the first person in the queue whose seat count fits, and hold it for 5 minutes. A waitlist place is not a booking and is never charged automatically — the seat is yours only once you pay.

Payment

Payments are taken on our payment page through our payment provider. We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details; we keep only the transaction reference, amount and status. If a payment is debited without a confirmed booking, contact us and we will refund it in full.

Your information

We collect your name, WhatsApp number and travel details to run the service. What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, our liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not responsible for belongings left on board, though we will always try to reunite you with them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when the current version took effect, and the version that applies to your trip is the one in force when you booked.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [Jurisdiction city — to be confirmed by Commute1] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
